Sometimes it is really hard to be as perceptive as I am...
At one point in my life, that is something I certainly couldn't say.
I am still not always as considerate as I could be, but I am always as polite as I can be, if that makes any sense.
I think the women at work are planning to surprise me, our birthday is coming up and my twin is less than 6 hours away from getting on a plane to come spend our birthday week together. I don't know exactly what they are planning, but the gesture all the same is a kind one.
Something that I appreciate about my colleagues is, now that they have a firmer grasp of MY skillset, I feel like they have more respect for my style. I like to consider myself the ideal customer service representative, I train the people around me to want to be more like me in 1 regard or another. Not that I am the ultimate ideal, by any means, there are just some ways that I do things that beg to be emulated. One recent "Pop your collar" moment, was at our 1st staff meeting of the year, I am the junior member of our work group. Our manager said, and I am paraphrasing here, " we should all do like N$ does, when she does "her thing" don't you all look up or do you keep doing what you are doing?" Now, keep in mind, there are enough, don't do like N$ moments at work too. I am human!
My sis is coming to SEE me! My sis is coming to SEE me! My sis is coming to SEE me! I am SOOO excited! I know the next 10 days will FLY by! And I am going to enjoy as much of it as humanly possible! I was telling one of my friends that she was going to have the chance to meet my sister and she was amazed that I was going to share my sister with her, I couldn't think of a better way of letting my people know me, than to know the person that means SO much to me! Of course, I will share, but she can't have her to herself!
I don't know if I will sleep tonight,
But I will try!
'Til Next time!
